On 1 July in 39 years ago was the first operation day of Lanna Hospital to take care of health for local people in Chiang Mai and neighboring provinces. During the past 39 years, the hospital has earned the trust from both local people and people from abroad to receive services. As a private hospital, Lanna Hospital has a capability of friendly services, qualified specialists in many fields, standardized treatments as well as cutting edge medical technologies, which result in more and more patients come to receive services in every year.
Dr. Dusit Srisakul, M.D., the Director of Lanna Hospital gives an interview that “As Lanna Hospital has been together with Chiang Mai people for a long time, we need to keep improving and developing ourselves to be up-to-date in terms of services and medical treatments and especially the diagnosis, which is the first step of treatment. We have invented more on Diagnostic Radiology. Now we have the up-to-date Digital Mammogram that allows doctors to see more clearly, which increases the diagnosis level. We have a plan to import another Magnetic resonance imaging or MRI from Germany so that patients can receive thorough services. We also provide more space for patients by opening a new 5-storey building with modern interior and exterior designs. Located inside the new building are Internal Medicine Center, Obstetrics and Gynecology Center, Ear, Throat, and Nose Clinic, Ophthalmology Clinic and 30 Patient Dormitory rooms in 3 floors. The new building will officially open for services on 1 July 2015.
Apart from readiness in term of buildings, another distinctive point of Lanna Hospital is the Back Pain Center in Northern Thailand with cutting edge technologies, for example, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Epidural Steroid Injection (EDSI). The hospital also has Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty Center to treat patients with heart disease and other health centers that are now under improvement to support more services. For example, the Pediatrics Center, which treats a great number of children patients in every day, has extended its area of the first floor in Building B to become a specific place for the Pediatrics Center. The area of rehabilitation service for back pain patients is also extended. The One Stop Service is increased for more convenience in the same way as the Health Center that is the model of the service.
In addition to the readiness of places, health centers and the up-to-date technologies, we are ready to provide services for foreign patients with English, Japanese and Chinese interpreters to keep up with the opening of AEC in the next year. The Lanna Hospital is now ready to effectively serve Thai and foreign patients to live up to our vision “We are the top private hospital in Chiang Mai with high standard and impressive service”.
