Chiang Mai...the regional 'Health Hub
Most coveted health conference of the region is coming to Thai's capital city of the north again, The 9th Chiang Mai International Health Conference 2016, this coming June 30-July 1, 2016 at the International Convention and Exhibition Center, parallel with the Lanna Expo, according to Duangsamorn Chairat, president of the Chiang Mai Health Services Promotion Association, who is hosting this event together with the Commercial Office and the Public Health Office of Chiang Mai province. The event aims to promote the market, publicize the potential of health-related products and services of the province, enhance the network and add value to these products and services under this year's theme "Healthy Long-Stay"
Chiang Mai has got the potential, having entrepreneurs and professionals providing wide range of health services from medical, dentistry, spa, Thai massage, herbal medicine, health products, Thai medicine and alternative medicine, generating trillions of baht a year. To create the identity for the province, the Commercial Office, the Public Health Office and the Chiang Mai Health Services Promotion Association are working together in proactively and continuously publicize the competitiveness and add value to what Chiang Mai has to offer in terms of health-related products and services.
This year's conference focuses on promoting Chiang Mai as a Healthy Long-Stay destination with series of panelists from Thailand and abroad, including the diplomats posted here in Thailand. Topics of discussion covers modern medicine, dentistry, traditional Thai massage, spa, alternative Thai medicine, herbal products, etc.
There will also be an exhibition on the side showcasing products and services, demonstration and consultations by related agencies both from the province and overseas, for instance, Chiang Mai Private Hospitals Club, Chiang Mai Dentists Club, Thai Massage Association, School of Massage for Health Chiang Mai, Thai-Lanna Spa Association, Herbal and Supplements Club, Thai Medicine Club, government agencies and members of the Chiang Mai Health Services Promotion Association during June 30-July 6, 2016.
